Medicare Made Clear’s Consumer-Friendly Materials Win Awards from the Center for Plain Language

In June, several videos and guides available on MedicareMadeClear.com won a ClearMark award from the Center for Plain Language for consumer-friendly Medicare education materials:

These educational materials, created by UnitedHealthcare®, were honored for being the one of the best in clear communication and plain language.
Annetta Cheek, PhD, chair, board of directors for the Center for Plain Language, said, “[These] Medicare materials take a very complex government program and help make it simple for its readers.  The Medicare video is particularly noteworthy – the judges considered it one of the best they’d seen – entertaining, easy to watch and understand, and just the right length.”

MedicareMadeClear.com, in addition to online information and downloadable guides, hosts the award-winning video and several other videos intended to help beneficiaries and their caregivers get a quick, easy-to-understand snapshot of the various parts of Medicare.

Tom Paul, CEO of UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement, said “The Center for Plain Language’s ClearMark awards reflect UnitedHealthcare’s commitment to developing plain-language materials that make complex health topics like Medicare easier to understand for the millions of beneficiaries we serve every day.”
