New: Enrollment Road Map and Checklists

The Enrollment Road Map helps guide you through the Medicare decision making process step-by-step. You can choose from four customized Road Maps based on how you’re eligible:

  • Turning 65
  • Over 65 but new to Medicare
  • Switching plans
  • Disabled or eligible due to special circumstances.

The Road Maps explain enrollment windows, describe steps to take to prepare for Medicare selections, and provide instructions on how to research and enroll in plans.

Each Road Map includes printable checklists which catalog things to consider when choosing a plan, and lists items to have available when you’re ready to enroll in or switch plans. Need more information? The checklists include links to Medicare Made Clear videos, connections to the plan-finder tool on Medicare.gov, and links to caregiver authorization forms.

Updated: Plan Comparison Chart and Caregiver Resources

Based on user feedback, MedicareMadeClear.com designed a new Plan Comparison Char. The chart provides an at-a-glance overview of plans (Parts A & Part B, Part C, Part D, Medicare Supplement), reasons why a beneficiary would consider each plan, and how the parts work together.

In order to empower the millions of individuals who care for Medicare-eligible adults, MedicareMadeClear.com added resources for caregivers, including  links to Medicare.gov’s support for caregivers site.

*Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 through December 7 for 2012 plans.
