Posted by Medicare Made Clear

caregiver supportDid you know that families provide 80 percent of the long-term, caregiver care in the U.S.?

Taking on the role of caregiver to a loved one who is also a disabled veteran can be a tough job. If you’re a caregiver, you need to take good care of your loved one. You also need to take good care of yourself. You’ll require all types of resources — from specialized adult day care and home care services to respite care and support groups for both you and your loved one.

Locating caregiver and veteran resources can sometimes be difficult. Below is a list of resources to help get you started.

If you still can’t find the help you need, contact a hospital or rehab treatment facility near your home or the home of your loved one. They may be able to help you find additional resources in the community.
