Where to Get Medicare Enrollment HelpPosted by Medicare Made Clear
Medicare Open Enrollment ends at midnight on December 7. It’s worth it to take the time to review and compare your Medicare choices each year. But you don’t have to do it alone! Here are resources that may help.
- Use the Medicare Plan Finder to compare your current coverage with other plan options available in your area. You can enroll in a new plan on the spot if you decide to make a change.
- Review the Medicare & You handbook online. It’s also mailed to all Medicare beneficiaries.
- Check to see if you may be able to get Extra Help paying your prescription drug coverage costs. You may also call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213. TTY users should call 1-800-325-0778.
- Get one-on-one help from your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).
If you currently have a Medicare Advantage plan, your plan sponsor may be able to answer your questions. Call the number on the back of your member ID card. And be sure to review the Annual Notice of Changes from your plan.
You may also call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to find out more about your coverage options. TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048.
Don’t leave your Medicare choices to chance. Make informed decisions based on your needs and the coverage options available where you live.
